Every year the upperclassmen need to take a 3 month long internship to find out what they want to do with their lives. I found an amazing fashion designer next door to a local coffee place I like to go to. Anyway, she's completely independent, not very well known, and as far as I know, she just opened her showroom there. She's probably not looking for an intern, but who wouldn't like some free help? I think I could really learn a lot from her...about the business. and maybe even make connections.
So, I was thinking I could just go in with my resumé and application...and ask. Basically, "Hello, I'm great, I work hard...and you will love me." Kidding.
