I remember in about 6th grade I started to do things for attention.  My parents split up and my mom and I weren't very close so I never got any attention so I felt like I had to do other things to get it from other people.  Well now I feel like I'm doing things all the time for the atttention and I'm not the person who I really am inside.  For the new year, I want to change, but how should I go about getting rid of the things I do and start doing positive things for attention rather than the negative?!  Advice needed! I'm ready for. The real me to show

None of us can 'tell' you what to do, except to just be yourself. Be the person who you know you are inside, instead of the attention seeker you once were before. It'll be kinda weird at first but once you get the hang of it, all will flow naturally from there.
