So, I was wondering if you could please give me your opinion on adoption. As well as any stories you may have pertaining to it.

If you were adopted, I would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me if the experience has affected your life- if it has- positively or negatively?

ANything really will help!

thanks.

I had a friend that was going to put her baby up for adoption after she had it, but once she had it she realized that carrying it around for nine months made her grow attached to her baby.

I am....

My adoptive parents have always been really open about it, and have answered any questions I've had, so that makes it a lot easier. When I was little, I used to ask stuff like 'did my other family not love me?' and things like that. I've never met my biological parents, but I may soon. They were really young when they had me, like my age now (16) so that's why they thought it was best to give me up. Overall, it's not a very significant part of who I am as a person, it's just a small part of who I am. My family is my family, biological or not.

My best friend was given up for adoption at birth. She was sexually, physically, and mentally abused in 5 of the 9 houses she was bounced to until she was adopted at 12, and was also sexually abused by her adopted father. She was put back into the system and finally adopted at 15 by a fantastic family. She also recently turned 18 and found out she has a twin sister whom was never adopted and was in 24 different foster homes before she aged out of the system.

I would never, ever, EVER put a child up for adoption. Ever.
