the whole period thing isn't technically correct.
for some girls, they can still be pregnant and have their period.
my best friends mom didn't know that she was prego until she started showing. because she had her period the whole time.
so just go and take a test. take a few of them until around the time you think you might have had your period.
and if it says positive, then you know.

stop spewing bullshit, it's physically impossible for a woman to have a regular, normal period and to be pregnant, because it SHEDS the WALL of the UTERUS, and if there was a fetus in there then it would be expelled too

This is true.

I have to say though, you can have bleeding that may be wrongly interpreted as a period during pregnancy- bleeding for other reasons. It's generally a lot lighter and I think most people would notice the difference. I don't think that has anything to do with the OP's question though.

Many women claim to just know, but only a test can tell if you truly are.

for example: i know a girl who didn't know she was pregnant until 3 months in to it. She ended up in the hospital for pains in her jaw- and they told her she was pregnant. Biggest shock of her life.
