But encouraging them...
No, I wouldn't encourage my kids to smoke. But if I found out they had been/are smoking weed then I wouldn't flip.. I would tell them that they were welcome to smoke in the house instead of going out on the streets to smoke and possibly get in trouble. I would also say if they ever wanted to smoke any I would buy them some. :) I'm gona be a cool dad when i'm older.. not like some of these shitty parents I see these days.

1) Alcohol is (more or less) legal while marijuana isn't. 2) You said your mom is giving you weed while your dad simply lets you drink.

Now, I'll agree with the sentiment that alcohol is worse the weed. I've also consumed both with my parents so I can't really say they are doing anything wrong. You might as well experiment with drugs and alcohol at home then with a bunch of retarded teenagers. Besides, this should curb any of the thoughts that somehow drugs are "cool" and whatnot because you aren't allowed to use them.
