i'm planning on going to America

i've been wanting to go for a while and i've been talking to mum about it, and she says if i'm good she will finance it yay
it depend where i go but i'm not sure if i'll go alone or not, and i'm not sure how long i'll stay

so now i want to choose which state/s i'll go to

i want a place that is close to the beach (at least 30 minute drive) and has a really really good city and night life
somewhere that is not really country, and is pretty busy

what states fit those requirements?
i was thinking like California or New York or something..

in california, there's LA, san diego, san francisco, etc. all with beaches.

If you're looking for a beach, don't go to New York. Go to California or Florida (Miami would be the best in Florida).
