What would you think...
If your daughter was weird?

Okay, here's the deal. I'm a teenage girl, and I'm weird as all teenage girls are. (Even the ones who say they aren't, poor things)
I'm a very happy, perky person, and I like to consider myself as warm and genial. In fact, I often wear people out and seriously need to cut down on the caffeine intake.

Anyways.

Lets say you're a parent. (Maybe you really are, and that would be awesome)
So your teenager paints her fingernails ruby red and black, (I alternate the colors between fingernails. It's nifty, and a completely useless fact you totally didn't need to know) lets her hair fall over her eyes, wants to get black hair dye, and, as a poet, tries to follow in the footsteps of Edgar Allen Poe.

Can't spell poetry without Poe.

Anywhoodle.

She paints creepy things, writes creepy things, and can be creepy sometimes. And yet.... she's so sweet! So happy!

Are you concerned? Her CD's are all AC DC, Nirvana, The Beatles, The Who, etc. All the stuff you yourself listen to. Web history faithfully spews out a long, boring list of... all the music you yourself listen to! No history deletions, so stupid and dreary cover ups, because you're an extremely hip and relaxed parent.

Being hip and relaxed, and now knowing all this info, would you be worried?

P.S. I don't go to school, so I'm not trying to "be myself" by stereotyping who I am and slapping a sticky-note label on my forehead. Emo is a type of music, goth is pretty cute, grunge is stinky (thus the name) etc. ^^

You can be happy and perky and still have hair in your eyes.

I don't see where the concern would emerge.

Well, I think emo fashion is just terrible.

So I would be concerned.

No emo-saying! Emo, when it's not music, is skinny jeans and waaaaayyyy too much eyeliner.

I really don't get it. So you don't like emo music you just like to act like/dress like an emo?

When did I say that I wear skinny jeans and put on way too much eyeliner? I wear comfy clothes and my hair flops over my eye, because gravity despises me. I'm just wondering if a parent would be concerned with what they observed.

Sorrrry. You're topic is all over the place and confusing.
No I wouldn't be concerned, as long as you were happy, not depressed and not self harming I would see absolutely no reason to be.
