I can testify, Jeep's kick ass. The I6 is easily one of the greatest engines of all time. CJ-6 and CJ-7 are indestructible and unbeatable on the trail.

a ford man who know's his stuff beyound the tempo.

Just because it's older doesnt make it better. My uncle has the same engine as me in his tundra that has 160k miles and he had it leak down tested and it was like new. And he drives it in the desert in cali. My dad also has teh same engine and has 170k on it and burns no oil.

The I6 is a good engine but most of them are very under powered and unefficient, not to mention they are known to have problems (such as oil leaks, cracked headers, and rear-main leaks)

The funny thing is, the 4.0L I6 is actually an AMC motor.

My Dad had a I6 in an old white F-100. Put 400k on it and the engine was still good when he scrapped it after having it for 10 years.
