It depends on how much research I need.  I would write most of my papers overnight, and that includes a paper that was 20 pages double spaced.  But if I have to do extensive research, then I might need longer just to get the facts.  The paper was 40 pages double spaced including my partners portion, and we ended up getting an A.

Either way... even my 18 page papers, 10 page papers, etc... all done overnight.

It depends.  If all the research is done, I could write in 8 or 9 hours.  If I need to do the research I have no idea how long it could take.

Oh my Goddess, that's extreme. The most I've ever had to write was two to three pages. And, in the research I have to do, I think that's about the standard. :S

Ten pages isn't that bad.  I wrote ten page papers in highschool.  

One of my final papers last year was twenty pages.  And it had to be based on original research.  Fun, no?

We didn't even have essays, in high school. We had five paragraphers, and that's a standard essay in the united states primary education system.

One of my final papers last year was twenty pages

And they wonder why college students are stressed out. Because they're over stressing them!

I don't have essays/final papers. I have exams. And those are hard enough. Fifty questions, multiple choice. Dire. :P I like little essay questions, though. Those are what keep me going.
