This may sound stupid, but I need some honest Christmas help. This is the first time I have ever had a serious boyfriend, and I want to get him something good for Christmas. He likes hunting, and he plays Rhythm Guitar/Bass in a Hard Funk Blues Rock Jam Band. [Don't ask!] I don't know either of those things well enough to know what to get for him, but I really want to blow his mind. Do you have any ideas in general?

It sounds like you already are at a good starting point. You know what his interests are. That's basically what you have to go off of if you want to get him a good gift. Get him something that he'll use, and that means something.

Personally, I would go with something that you two do together. If he likes hunting and you two hunt together, then maybe get him some gear for that. Otherwise, maybe get him something for his band that you two can enjoy together.

If you don't know enough about either of those things, you could either try to communicate with him and ask him what kind of things he would be interested in, or you could try to come up with something totally different.

What are some fun activities you have done together? Or some activities that you think would be fun to do together? You could always base the gift around that. That way you could use it together.

I'm sure in the end, just knowing that you put a lot of time into it is going to be the most important. Don't sweat it too much. Keep it practical, and thoughtful.
