So, my boyfriend has been complaining that his ear hurts and I looked at it today and there is this big, red, bubble in his ear. I've been putting rubbing alcohol on it to keep it dry and clean, but I've never seen anything like it and we don't really have money to take him to the doctor. Any idea what it might be??

My sister had something like that, she needed prescription ear drops.

It depends. Where at on/in his ear? Does he have a pierced ear?

I wouldn't suggest trying to home-lance or anything. If it doesn't go away within a week, take him to a doctor.

It sounds awful. I want one. haha.
If it's just for cleansing, I doubt it would help. It sounds like a scar or infection-based ball of pus.
