what effects does smoking this have on a person? i recently found some in my bookbag that is possibly a year old and its finely ground up from being in there so long. should i try to smoke it or throw it out?

I believe only a certain type can be used for that, so if it was bought originally for that purpose then yeah. I can't guarantee that anything is going to come of it, but "expired" salvia isnt harmful.
