is anyone familiar with the characters in these monologues?

there ARE teenaged girl characters, correct? I won't look like an idiot at auditions.

Yes it is. Too young doesn't even cut it.

I am familiar with the characters, and the play is a mature play. The fact that there's teen characters does not mean that they are played by teenagers. Depends on the director but most would rather have adult actors because it's a play with explicit material; and last time I checked 14 year old's are often not even admitted when they play it.

One way to find out is just to research the play. If you're familiar with it, then you should know, and have a more informed judgment.

Interestingly though I do know a 15 year old who played in it. But under 14 - I would say you're definitely pushing your luck because of the explicit content. I can't think anyone would be comfortable directing such a young person in some of that stuff.
