They don't treat their children bad, in their opinions. It's just, it's different for everyone and their way of "disciplining" their children.

I don't know. My mom was always really violent with us when we were younger- she was a stay at home mom with three kids, and her anger just got away with her too many times a week. She beat us with my dad's belt until we were SO bruised and sore that we couldn't sit or walk. it was pretty bad. But she doesn't do that anymore... I mean, she's kicked us, thrown us across a room, and beat us so hard with wooden spoons that she's broken them. I can't explain her behavior.
I think it stopped for only one reason: she tried to punch and kick me on the stairs once, and I held her hands back and pushed her backward, so she lost her footing but didn't fall or anything. I think she realized that I would and could fight back now.
Recently, we've gotten along much better, and no one in my family talks about all fo that stuff anymore.

parents get frustrated with us becuz they most of the times have to maintain us and they have their own added stress and they are responsible for everything we do so if we get in trouble at school they lecture us bcuz they dont wanna have to be bothered with that crap when they have other things to worry about
however some parents *my dad! cough* just like to arugue for the hell of it
cuz they wanna take out their stress on you
sometimes a simple question is too much for them.

Because they probably have been treated bad and abused during their life. That isn't at all an excuse, but that is usually involved.

No. Why, is it suppose to explain how I read into this?

No, but I believe it would certainly change your opinion on a parent's perspective of "punishment"

i'm not really sure what you qualify as "bad," but the parents who are particularly evil to their children probably resent the burden of bearing and keeping a child.
however, if you're talking about disciplinary punishment as spanking, it's probably because it's a proven method of parenting.  my parents spanked my brothers and i and i plan to use the same with my own children. it teaches kids to associate negative behavior with negative results, which is effective in all senses of the word.

I once thought I was alright, but then I realized I was half left.
