It means that everything from the beginning of the year is on it.  We've had three midterms that have covered different things, but our final covers EVERYTHING, from the start to the finish.  That's cumulative.  Other classes will only have what they haven't tested before on a final.

Oh yeah. ours are like that too, but we get a 20% bonus for good attendence, so its all good

Final for this semester.  After I enter my winter break.  There's a set of fall classes and a set of spring classes.  So once I finish this final, I'll have a month off, then I'll start my spring semester with completely different classes.
