People who abuse xanax...do they spend a lot of money on each pill? Like do they run out of money real fast (like with oxycontin) because they're expensive or what? I think someone I knew is abusing prescription drugs (and no, them running out of money all the time is not the only factor for my suspicion).

The thing you have to remember is that with prescriptions, usually, they aren't unlimited and as such they fail for trying to abuse drugs. Nothing like being relegated to some arbitrary number per month.

it depends on who you get them from i've known people who practically give them away, and others who have higher mg pills that you have to spend and arm and leg on
though, the person could be getting them on their own you can go to a clinic, and tell the doctors that you are unusually anxious and tell them you're having panic attacks, and they will give you xanax

You can get high off them, but they're a prescription for those with anxiety.

2mg Xanax pills generally go for around $3 per pill (in this city) if you're buying it on the black market. I just got prescribed 120 pills recently by a doctor and I paid less than $20 for the entire lot of them. What are the other suspicions that are making you think he's abusing Xanax?

I dunno, xanax isn't really the kind of drug most people would abuse every day. You would REALLY notice if he was, much more than with opiates, because he won't remember like anything and most of his shit will be a blurrrrrrr.
