Maybe I'm a bit of an extreme case, but I'm the granddaughter of the most vain woman on this planet. She was talking to me about free radicals and pore size when I was 12. It seems to me, through observing my peers, that boys do not get that treatment. The guy who sits next to me in philosophy does not use deodorant and I'm pretty much very, very sure that he doesn't brush his teeth too frequently either. He still lives at home...does NO ONE notice? My mom starts going crazy if I don't shower right after I come home from the gym! This is so disgusting! Guys, if you are ever a father...teach your kids! Or dig out some pictures of a very out there metro sexual. Jude Law. David Beckham does the trick too. Nobody wants to get up close and personal with very smelly people! Wait...a friend of mine (girl this time) doesn't really have proper hygiene either, but neither does her mother...so maybe in that case I understand why. Theres people who are wealthy and nasty. And a lot of people don't wash their hands in public. They just leave no wash.

My grandmother bought my mother soft contact lenses the year they came out because she couldn't stand to see one of her daughter's wearing glasses. In fact, when my mother was young, and diagnosed with bad vision, my grandmother cried. I maintain perfect hygiene, but girls seem to like the smell after I work out or go for a run so I'm not worried, I always shower anyway though because I don't enjoy being sweaty. I think you're just hanging around the wrong people, but your grandmother only sounds moderately vain. My grandmother would flip out of anything was wrong with your appearance, if you were born abnormally, or if anything happened which could affect the way you look or are perceived. That said, my grandmother is one of the coolest and smartest people I've ever met, so I can overlook her vanity. Like I said though, you're probably just looking for guys in the wrong areas.

Trust me, I know a lot of those punk deviants. and I mean real punks, not the people who label themselves that way. --->Punk died the day the first kid said, "Punk is not dead." On them it's cool, they have a life, they have their principles. However, I am absolutely certain...that each and everyone of them showers and uses deodorant. They may be defiant, but they themselves do not feel comfortable like that. They do a lot of other bullshit, but not that!
