We should run our country.  Not a God of any kind.  Sure I agree with not killing people and stealing and some of that in the 10 commandments but not that God should run our country.  Especially if it is not proven that there really is a God.

my biggest issue with separation of church and state is that it raises the issue of the church being separate from state control. That is to say, if church and state are separate, does that mean that the church becomes subject to the laws of a secular state? If so, that fucks up the idea of a liberal citizenship because general society has the priorities of God, then Country. And if the church is alternatively totally outside state control then under a capitalist model it must end up competing with the state.

People just tends to forget this goes both ways. You all complain about the church "shoving their beliefs down your throat" but have absolutely no problem completely silencing their views. What do you call that? Doesn't sound like freedom of religion to me.

Yes. However, I think there should still be things such as Catholic Schools etc.
