Jam is Jam. Jelly is that cold desert you eat with ice cream.
Well... thats how it is from my eyes.
I've never heard of eating jam alone, or with ice cream. Or being a dessert.
But the difference has to do with how it is prepared. Crushed fruit vs whole pieces/chunks.
England = comes dries in packets and you make it yourself and set it in the fridge and it doesn't spread on anything WHATSOEVER. It's a desert over here. Gelatin or whatever you call it...
