In your case since your shared your meds everyone in the car could have gone to jail with felonies, you for giving them to other people in your car and them for taking meds without a prescription.

I don't know. I always keep an empty Klonopin bottle in my glove box in case a cop stops me and I have pills in my pocket or something. A little anxious, yes, but hence the Klonopin.

It's illegal not to have them in your perscription bottle with the prescription present and illegal to be under the influence while driving.

The prosecutor will usually drop the charges if it is later determined that you have a prescription.
