Isn't working with a lawyer like the whole definition of a paralegal?

I suppose that you could be an assistant or secretary as well.

So when you're happy (Hurray!), or sad (Aw!),
Or frightened (Eeek!), or mad (Rats!)
An interjection starts a sentence right.

"Solicitor", for us, means someone that solicits (sells). Most people find American "solicitors" to be quite annoying. They're telemarketers, basically.

Well, a paralegal kind of limit you in a small circle of jobs that you can be doing. If you have other background that compliment with the paralegal experience, maybe you can expand your job searching a little further. read more at http://www.higheredspace.com/index.php/forum
