that I thought I might have yeast infection, and asked if she would come with me to the doctors and she said she would. I was so relieved, I was scared she'd call me gross or something. I've never been to the doctors without a parent, and I've never booked my own appointment. Can you go without a parent if you're 16? And what questions are they likely to ask when you book it?

You can, and they will keep it confidential, although your parents might receive a bill or see the appointment on their insurance. There are also a lot of non-prescription medications for yeast infections that apparently work really well. Unless the infection is really bad, I suggest trying one of those first and seeing if it works.
