what should i expect? How do I keep myself from getting admitted?

I'm so sick of lieing.

I had to call an ambulance and police officer twice to pick up a friend who was threatening suicide. They brought her to the hospital, she admitted she had threatened suicide multiple times in the past and had considered it, also that she was depressed and cut and had an eating disorder etc.

They let her go forty minutes later. Hospitals are really full as it is; unless they see that you have an immediate threat to your well being, they'll just tell you to see a therapist and give you some pamphlets.

Just answer honestly.

They're only going to keep you there if they believe you are unable to survive on your own.

If they determine that you're a threat to yourself or others, they'll likely keep you but otherwise, they should let you go.

you sound fucked up. maybe you should let them help you and stop worrying your parents who obviously care enough about you to bring you to a hospital for an evaluation.

He/She just sounds worried/nervous which is normal. If he/she weren't, I'd think something else was up.
