As you know from my last topic; I am conducting a project focused on Westboro Baptist. The church that protests at funerals and natural disasters saying that it's because "God hates America for allowing homosexuality."
Yesterday, I sent a letter. Today - I decided to take it to a whole new level and I called them.
yep, that's right. I called them. The woman answered and I asked if I could ask a few questions without any form of vulgar barrading for my project. She finally conceded and I asked these: Question one: Why do you make homosexuality the forefront of your protests? Why not focus on all sins rather than one? She responded, in an aggressive manner but I just listened to her theories. She was finally done and I made a composed comment: "As a christian myself, and I understand that you are against homosexuality but -" She cut me off and began yelling: "YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN! WE? WE ARE AGAINST HOMOSEXUALS? WE ARE NOT GOD!!" i waited for her to finish yelling. Frankly, this hilarity was getting old so i skipped to my last question: "Does your church protest at your own funerals? Mam, if you were to die today - would your church protest and thank God for your death or would they mourn for your loss?" She was stumped, I could tell. she paused for about 10 seconds then she completely lost it. This was her yelling: "YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN! YOU ARE A LITTLE GIRL! A LITTLE GIRL WHO PROBABLY SUFFERS FROM ADD ALOGN WITH OTHER MENTAL ILLNESSES! YOU ARE IMMATURE AND DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! CALL BACK WHEN YOU'VE GROWN UP AND YOU'RE READY TO TALK TO ME! Yes, when I'm grown up, and ready to talk to her. how funny. You can call westborobaptist as well. I don't doubt it when down like that. Those people are freaking out of their minds. And oh, the whole church is related but not everyone that does the signs because I've seen people protesting with them and they don't look at them at all. Oh, those people used to stand outside the library and my school too...
