Should this be banned or publicised the way it is?
Entertainment or cruelty?

Ironic that some wierd people make money from abusing their pets this way  

Although, it begs the question... if people are so against this, where do they stand on obese children....?

Cruelty. Even though owners usually feed their pets out of love and never want them to be hungry. It's cruel to let them get unhealthy.

I think it's definitely cruelty. The pets can't exactly decide to go on a diet, it's the owner who makes the decision about what it eats. That cat is huge, by the way.
