Barack Obama's election is certainly a step in the right direction as far as race relations in America, but to say that its a panacea that pretty much ends racism in the United States is incredibly naive.

If someone denies a person of color for a job due to their color they will get in trouble.

Everyone has equal opurtunities.

Not many other countries, even diverse western countries, have organisations like the KKK or such a large number of various white supremacist movements, also even black and hispanic supremacist movements. But yeah, enough of you aren't completely fucking retarded and you elected a black president. Congratu-fucking-lations.

I've lived in two of them. What are you smoking? Name me one other country that has as many white power oriented groups as America, not to mention as large and popular? Name me one other ethnically diverse country that has an equivalent to, and as militant in their views as the black panthers..?

Legislation limiting people's ability to excersize racism in daily life doesn't mean some people in America aren't inherently racist.
