Ok, so when I first got my 360 I just played with the default "player" account for all my games. So, I signed into that for all my games and such. Now, I just got xbox live, and it made me make a new gamer profile and stuff, and so there is nothing on this account.
Is there any way to get all my game achievements and stuff on this account from the Player account? This is stupid. I don't want to have to play on Player to finish my achievements on old games, and then play on my new account for any new games I get.

Any hope for this, or am I just sort of screwed?

I thought you could sign into xbox live through the player account.
But you can't transfer achievements from one account to another.

If you'd linked the XBL account to that player account (which it DOES let you do) you could have made sure to keep the gamer points. You can't transfer it after the fact however, so you're out of luck.

There are glitches where people get "A" achievment transfered to another account. But  I don't think that would help you much in this situation.

It made me sign out of my account and it made me make a new gamer ID when I was signing up for Live. I couldn't get to the Live subscription process without signing out, and I couldn't continue the subscription process without making a new profile name and avatar and crap.

Can I call them, or am I still probably out of luck?

If they made it idiotproof then I would have done that, but I followed the straightforward instructions to signing up for Live.
