Since there's too many religions to list and be comprehensive and open-minded, I figure this is the second best. I'm quite curious to see the results based on a portion of the community labeled as intellectual, since I've always associated religion with a lack of intelligence. I'm not calling religious people stupid, but I am saying that the poor and uneducated are more liable to be religious because they have nothing more sturdy to rely on other than a higher power to guide them through their lives.

Edit: Damn poll option character limit.

Third Option: "I act according to how I believe he/she/it/they would want their creations to."

Last Option: "I act according to my own interpretations of civil behavior."

I do not associate with any religion. I don't believe in a higher power, I believe in life. And accordingly love Biology.

I've always really liked what Frank Lloyd Wright said, "I believe in God, I just spell it Nature."

I never fancied biology. Too complicated and rather boring. However, you should watch that stance. Religious people tend to poke at the sheer immensity of biology to prove the existence of a divine.

Pretty words.

It arises from the inability to perceive an entity beyond our understanding - such as the tremendousness of nature - without trying to explain it, whatever the explanation. It arises from the arrogant conviction that something incomprehensible must automatically have a mystic ground.

I'm a Buddhist, so I went with option two, although so far as creation is concerned, I follow the idea of evolution.

I chose the last option, because I lack a belief in a deity and I am not religious in any way whatsoever.

I don't follow a certain religion. When I was younger, I considered myself Christian. As I've grown up, I've begun to realize that I don't believe much of what the Bible tells us, but I still believe in a God - whoever He may be.

I do not, however, govern my life according to what I believe He wants me to be. It's silly really...since, in my opinion, my God is in control of my life, my actions are what He wants them to be. I still like to be a wholesome person all-around though.

I put the last but I am actually agnostic. You should have made a choice more suitable for people who don't believe in religion but who believe in maybe something like energy instead of a god. The meaning of god has too much of a stereotypical meaning for me to ever use it. Obviously I don't like the stereotypical meaning it has acquired throughout history.

I personally think religion is illogical and man made. I do believe in science, but human beings have a lot of evolving and discovering to do. So I do what I feel improves my life, the people I love lives, and the planet. I do believe there is much to life we do not know. I also believe energy is a big part of understanding life and death and what may come afterwards, if anything.

You tried being too cute, which resulted with your poll coming across both pretentious and convoluted. If that was your goal all along, then you certainly succeeded.  However, to answer your question, I adhere solely to the Restoration Movement (Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement) bordering Nondenominational Christianity.

I was not trying to be cute or funny. If you're referring to how I noted the genders, then you're completely closed minded. I know plenty of people who think that their god is a female, others who believe their god is without form (and thus gender), and then there's the majority who believe it is a He. My intentions did not involve making other people's beliefs seem infantile.

I say that your poll is convoluted and you imply that I'm gender biased?  You could have fleshed out more of the particulars within your OP rather than try writing Gone With the Wind within the poll margins instead.

Also, before you go and blindly assume that I'm close-minded, perhaps you should first ask what I do for a living without feeling that you know me better than I know myself.

Quite true about the poor and the uneducated.

Fenrir, what do you do for a living? Just curious.
