Obviously these pictures conclude only one thing: That Jews are a single race with many racial (Semitic) features in common, and in no way intermix with the people they live around at all, and as such, have a genetic / ancestral right to the land of Israel.  Only anti-semitic nazis would deny this. Wouldn't you agree?

I dunno.  Even the Syrian Jew's nose is a lot longer than the European Jew's nose, and neither are fatter than the Ethiopian Jew's nose.

The descendants of the Kaifeng Jews are a bit questionable as they more than likely have been intermixing with the rest of the Chinese population (all the Kaifeng Jews have "died out," or rather, ceased to exist as a group), but despite that, they don't look very different from the photos of the actual Kaifeng Jews 100 years ago.  And moreover, this doesn't stop their descendants from identifying themselves as ethnic Jews.

But, Bud - it's not ME that says Jews are a race - it's some of them.

I say they are nonWhite - not a race entirely.

The Ashkenazi Jews may be able to be grouped into one race - or maybe the can't.

But with all the genetic testing done on Jewish populations -it comes out that their gene pool is less White than the American Black gene pool.

Even the Ashkenazis are quite ethnically diverse depending on which area you're looking at. I have doubts about the whole being less whites that blacks in the US bit (I'd really wonder who they're sampling and consider an "Ashkenazi Jew" to determine that as that could very well be biased, and how that would compare with what they consider a typical Arab's genes).

And to be quite honest, whatever their genetics are is a moot point (and either way, nobody can make a valid argument that all Jews are composed of a single ethnic group). For all intents and purposes, the European Jews may as well be regarded as white - they look white, they are treated as whites, they generally hold Western values, Israel (which is full of those European Jews) has a Western style government, and all that. The genetics have may be at the roots of race, but the socially constructed part of race is what makes all the difference, for if we don't act on it, how much does it honestly matter? It's Israelis like that Gilad Shalit guy, as well as American backing of Israel, who make the Arab world convinced that Zionism is essentially a Western crusade.

The bottom line is that Jews can be of any race. Just trying to look at someone and saying he looks white or he doesn't look white is totally subjective in the end. And ppl who go around trying to genetically test others to find out their race (unless its for some medical or scientific research thing) should get their head examined.

Somewhere along the line we really should stop tripping over crazy stuff like that.
