when all the initial "reasons" for your depression are gone and everything is fine, you should feel fine but you still feel like shit. It's been 5 years for me now. I'm a lot happier than what I was when it was severe. It's mild now I guess. I can function and have fun I just still have that cold, dead empty feeling a lot.

My surviving grandfather is senile and lives somewhere in California. Sometimes I visit him when I'm in L.A. My grandmother "knows" me because I've spoken to her often. What she doesn't know is that she doesn't know my true personality at all. It would kill her if I told her I was using alcohol and cocaine.

Antidepressants don't help for me. I haven't tried Prozac but I've tried 6 other ones.

What did you do?
To feel better? I quit school. I got into the nightclub scene and met a ton of fun people. Had heaps of fun every weekend and during the week too with all the people I met. I just had a friends and fun and it took my depression away for a while. I drank and took a lot of drugs, too.
