Because the speed changes, especially if the amount of seeders/leechers changes (which is lolduh, but it makes the ETA inaccurate unless you keep looking at it.)

im 100% sure it will be more accurate than random people on livewire.

Depends on how fast the seeder is uploading to how many people.  I have gotten stuff from a single seeder and no other people quickly, 700mb file at about 150kb/s.
