I do not feel like I am human at all. I feel left out from everyone else, even when my freinds are playing a game with me that I like, I just dont feel like one of them. Like they are playing a completely different game that just happens to be part of my game. I feel like I am in a void of space, and everybody else is in that same space, but somewhere else at the same time. I feel like I am living on a planet with no sentient beings besides myself, everybody else is so hollow. I am alone. I dont feel human, everything that I have observed of humanity is hollow, empty, devoid of any emotion. Its seems as if everyone else is in a bubble, and I am outside that bubble, walking around them and observing them. I feel like a simple observer, not a part of their world yet still there. I cannot pinpoint this emotion as I have never had it before; it feels like a mixture of lonelyness, love, hate, and contentedness. Help.

Perhaps I should seek professional help.

Hey there,

To be Human means, anything you want it to be, what ever in your life makes you feel right, do it, that's what being human is about. Everyone has a different concept as to what human is being about. There is no right or wrong answer to this, it's all a matter of opinion.

Feeling left out just means you feel you don't fit in with these particular people, sometimes we feel as though we aren't on the same level as some people, we want more so we don't feel as though we fit in, you just haven't found the right people and out there are so many other people who probably feel a lot like you, you aren't alone, ever.

All these feelings, they won't last forever, you're growing up right now and you will feel things that other people won't feel for a long time or might never feel in their lives. This doesn't make you not Human. No matter how you see the world you will always be a part of it.

If you feel as though this carries on for a long time you can try talking to an adult about your feelings, try your best to tell them exactly how you feel, they will understand completely, you are normal. Don't ever think you aren't.

I hope life gets a little less confusing for you soon!

Thank you for responding.

Its more confusing than that, I am not left out from anything, I participate in normal activities with freinds and I never have a hard time making new freinds, yet there is a strange hollowness about my interactions with them. I feel like they are all thinking differently than I am, like they are enjoying a game we are playing for a different reason that I am enjoying it. There is nothing physically or socially wrong with me, and any therapist looking at just my normal everyday life without actually talking with me would think I was perfectly fine, and yet there is always something different about the way I think and do things. I dont know whats wrong...I guess only time can tell.

Just because on the outside you feel you look right doesn't mean you have to come across the same way on the outside, therapists don't only look at your outside they look at what's going on inside too.

Perhaps you're just not in the environment you should be in right now but you will eventually find a place where you do fit in, normally and in your head. I kinda feel the same way you do about when you're with people and I've talked to therapists and adults and counsellors, you name it I've talked to them, none of them actually helped for me because they didn't really know what was going on, but I got a bit older, I turned 17 then I turned 18 and then I found out I actually may be autistic so I put it down to that but I don't want labels and I'm sure you don't. We've yet to find someone who can understand us I guess.

Sometimes understanding is all it takes though, until you find someone who can understand you, you just have to wait it out.
