im trying to use the NDISWrapper in linux, to get my wireless card working. Im trying to download something via terminal, and the site said to use Aptitude. so i do... and it comes up and says "This aptitude does not have super cow powers."

That message seems to indicate you're not running it as root, try running it through the sudo command, something like:
