It's more of an activity than a sport.

it's a competitive activity, how is it not a sport?

It's competitive?  Really?

Competitive cheerleading is more of a U.S thing, I think.

to me, cheerleading is a crappy low talent mix of gymnastics and "dancing"

just sayin'

low talent mix? are you serious? half the people cant do the routines, tumbling and stunts cheerleaders do. its very physically demanding and you have to in pretty good shape to do half the things they do. i was a gymnast for 12yrs and i cheered for 2yrs and cheerleading may not be 'mainstream sport" but NOT "low talent mix of gymnastics and dancing" i would like to see you try to do half the things.
