I couldn't help but notice, they're eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. Yep, first year of eligibility is 25 years after the release of a band's first album. (Shame on those who are ignorant of their work from the 80's). So, for the hell of it, name your favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song. I was going to say Under the Bridge, but na, that's too cliche. I'll go with a different, yet underrated, song from the same album: The Righteous & the Wicked.

I think my favorite is Can't Stop
I love Suck My Kiss, Give it Away, Tell Me Baby, Snow, Scar Tissue among many others. I really love them, I recently got really interested in them because of my friend. He talked alot about Fruciante's (sp?) life and his drug addiction. It was fascinating. Along with their funk sort of rock that they perfected, they make for a perfect form of rock. Kiedis's vocals always amazed me when you hear him in a song from Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik compared to his vocals in Stadium Arcadium.

Two of their original band members died of drug overdoses. Ironically, Fruciante was a replacement guitarist. And he ironically struggled with a drug addiction as well. The band definitely has quite a story to tell.
