How do I install it? I have an older computer, and my mother just bought me a 1 GB RAM card. (Yeah, I know that's not so much, but I'm working with over 200 MB.)
On the instructions it says it doesn't work on systems that do not require DDR2 modules. Do older computers even have that. (This computer is about 6 years old.)
+ If it is possible, where are the slots located?

Why would you have your mom buy RAM?

Does your processor require a 333, 667, 800, or 1066 slot?

Yes. Processors can only utilize certain socket types.

My old processor required socket 800 type ddr2 but my new quad uses 1066 so my 800 RAM i bought is not as fast as it would be with an 800 processor.

Idk, lol. I haven't been into computers for a long time, so I forgot everything. I just wanted to stick it in and be done with it, as wrong as that sounds. I can't find where to put it on the inside though. >.<.

The 800/1066 is the speed of the socket. My mobo has a max of 1066 but processors can only utilize so much.

Thats why my dual-core was a 800 and my new quad uses 1066

you should just shut the fuck up before you sound like a bigger idiot.

sure processors can only utilize certain sockets... for the sockets they're designed for... ON THE MOTHERBOARD. The sockets you'd be referring to would be shit like AM2, LGA775, Socket A, B. All that jazz.

Of course certain processors require certain types of RAM, but it's mostly dependent on the motherboard.

You can have 1066 ram with a dual core processor.

I know this, but I had an AMD Athlon x2 5000+ BE which could only use 800.  The 5200+ and up series utilized the 1066. (I think it was the 5200). Why don't you learn a little too, dumbass.
