Well tell her how much she means to you and how much you want her here. Ask her why she wants to do it then tell her it's not worth it. That helped me.

Anyway, a lot of people who say that are just seeking attention these days. Which is sad because you can't tell who's really crazy and who's not. Yet again, we all are crazy, but we can't care for everyone. Just be her friend. If that's not worth staying around for, then so be it I guess.

Make sure you keep supporting her though. There's a tendency for people who do this to relapse and do it again. You might be tempted to just distance yourself out of relief, but don't, seriously.
