A system restore is usually quite short because it's not that intensive, just restoring some system stuff. 12 hours is wayyy too long. You might want to think about force-shutting down your computer and turning it on, though it might make Windows unbootable. Have you made backups of your computer?

like 5 minutes.

I am doing it wrong then?

Why would I take so long on my laptop?

I mean I inserted the two dvd's. Then it turns itself on and off multiple times, and then ... I get frustrated and I insert the dvd's again. Right now it's doing a "Sytem recovery"

WHY MEEEEE

Mine aren't short AT ALL. I have to do it from the DVD's. :/

FORCE SHUTTING? What's that.

What is unbootable?

I haven't made any back ups.

as you see I'm a -0 in the computer area.

Uhhh, I don't see why you'd need the dvds. A system restore won't require that. Perhaps you did something else like restore the computer from its original backup discs, erasing everything else. But you shouldn't ever remove and insert the discs again when it's working. I guess all you can do is turn it off and start it up, hoping it hasn't erased all your stuff.

My system restore wouldn't work so I had to get the company to send the DVD'S.

I don't care about my files a lot; as long as my computer works again. I had to do it because it wasn't working. I mean I do love my files but if I had to choose between them and having a working laptopt. I'm using vista btw.

I didn't remove the cd's until they told to. Now it's doing what I posted on the two previous post and that will make it turn on and off a million times. IDK WHAT TO DO. I want my baby back.

Hmm, it was probably restoring the computer from the original discs so it would have presumably wiped everything anyway. Your best bet is to turn it off and try the whole process again (though first you might want to see if Windows boots up at all).
