Its obviously not good to do it when you just got the piercing (or in other people's cases not good at all) but I want to know, maybe you have had the experience or your friend did, that it would be okay for purging once the tongue is healed.

I know the lectures, "think about your stomach acid burning your food pipe, what about the metal?" and all those things.

I generally just want to know if people out there have tongue piercings and throw up lets say atleast twice a week, are you alright with that?

It's okay to do it once it's healed, but tongue piercings keep alot of bacteria on the tongue, so it get's a little gross. You have to be very good about cleaning it or the acid from the vomit might damage the tongue, using the hole from the piercing. (This is what my dentist told me after he learnt about me being bulimic, when I had a tongue ring)

well, being as the tongue is a muscle, it never truly heals. If youre throwing up regularly it will probably get infected. More importantly, i would worry more about esophageal varices than my tongue piercing getting screwed up.

normal tongue piercings go through the septum of the tongue(the bit you can slice though) so don't really go though muscle tissue...venom piercings are the ones that go though muscle...
