This is just a rant. I'm trying to be serious. If I posted this on the mainboard I'd probably end up getting more pissed off so I'm just trying to let loose some tension here. I'm hoping too that somebody can give me some type of consolation. I talked to one of my "friends" about it and she just sarcastically blew it off: "I personally apologize for everybody" which just further infuriated me. Anyway, yesterday was New Years, or I suppose today. I call about 5 or 6 of people whom I consider to be my really good friends to wish them a Happy New Year. I got a reply from NONE of them. Not ONE of them has given me a call, or any type of recognition. Later on today (like a few minutes ago), I log into AIM and I see some of them just chilling there. I don't get any IM or anything saying "Hey man, thanks for the wishes! I hope you have a Happy New Year too!"
Fucking NOTHING like that. And on top of that, some people whom I actually did talk to (outside of that 5 or 6) were like "Word man, you too" and just hung up after that. It's like "What the fuck kind of shit are you, I'm going to call you because I think our friendship has reached a point where you know, we should be doing these kind gestures to each other and you're just going to fucking blow me off with a 'Word man' and that's it?"
Jesus fucking christ. People are assholes. Your friends are not really your friends behind your back.
On an unrelated note, one of my friends who I consider a brother actually picked up and we talked for a while. That is so far the only pleasant experience I have had with people whom I consider friends! And on top of that, these are people I went to high school with! My college friends I don't expect really to hear from them but I still got a call and a Happy New Year from one of them!
Maybe I am overreacting but this really pissed me off.
