Fuck me.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/7807210.stm Its an old 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante.. only 17 were made! Its worth over 3 million though, wow! I know! Makes me think, if I lock up something nice, say a corvette.. and leave it in my garage till I'm 80 odd, how much will it be worth?  heh.. not such a bad idea...
I was thinking the same thing with my average '89 Ford Tempo. Thing is, both Corvette and Tempo sold in huge numbers where as there were only 17 Bugatti Type 57S made. Still though, you have to imagine that any current car will be worth a decent sum of money in the next 70-100 years.

How many different types of cars do you know that produced really low numbers of cars? Subaru made an impreza, they only made 320 of them.. the subaru RB 320 right?
A lot of cars are available in low-production trim levels or packages, but that just adds exclusivity. I figure it will be cars like the Southern 358, Ford GT, Ford Thunderbird, cars that sold in incredibly low numbers (under 1,000) for only a few years. The is the Roush BlackJack Mustang that is only being produced to a level of 100 cars, but that car is only an aftermarket version of a stock model that sells hundreds of thousands a year.
