I went to Paris and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a lovely city. The architecture is not like ours at all, the people were on the whole extremely polite, the sights were pretty good and the food was yum. So, try it.

Edit: I didn't find the language too much of a barrier as A.) All the vital people spoke English perfectly anyway and B.) I'd done a French GCSE two weeks beforehand.

I wanted to take a gap year between uni and high school to help the kids living in poverty, but my Indian boss talked me out of it. She says she's going to go with me to India and take me to this orphanage that her uncle runs so I can still help, but it will be safer. Plus, it's different. And I won't just be going to India, I'm going to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore too.

Also, I've read about India. They're supposed to have so many festivals, and I think it will be a great place to go.

Chill out. You realise most of the photos that end up in magazines and newspapers are organised by the celebrity themselves.

Half the stories are fed to the papers by the celebrities.

They love it. They wouldn't survive if it wasn't for this sort of coverage.

And people are interested because we want to know that these adored and venerated famous people are actually nothing special and just like us.

They should also stop bloody complaining because that's part and parcel of being a movie star/artist/politician, it's part of the job.
