I consider myself to be smart in "real life". I got a 31 on my ACT and I'm gonna be an engineer when I get in college next year.

Every weekend I spend a far too generous portion of my wage on alcohol and drunken dancing at an Irish pub in the faint hope of picking up a female that is off my own standards, this materialises every 1 in 3 weeks, so I would say no.

I dropped out of high school at 15, haven't read regularly since my early teens, and show no signs of changing. At this rate I'll be mopping floors and stacking shelves for the rest of my life. I think deep down there's a smart, curious, perceptive kid, but that intellect is filtered through four years of apathy and self loathing, and by the time it reaches the light of day it is a half-hearted trickle soon lost in the raging river of vitriol. So no, I do not consider myself an intellectual.

How are you defining smart? My qualifications would suggest that I am of average to lower intelligence, yet I believe that I have a wide range of skills eith more than a couple of areas I would be deemed an expert on.

People tend to think I am. I have won a national honor for my writing as well as a couple of smaller awards, and I get fairly good grades, I'd get better if I was more organized.

Well, some people who knows me well thinks I am at least on the more intelligent side and some don't. However, one psychiatrist believed my intelligence might be at a genius level.
