If they are going through with their pregnancy, and having their baby, that have every right to be proud. It doesn't matter how old they are. If a 13 year old girl is actually going to have her baby and not abort, she's a hell of a lot more mature than older girls who have sex and then abort their babies.
Right... because keeping a child you have no way of providing for is soooo very mature.
there is also something called adoption which btw is a wonderful alternative to abortion
And how is a 13 year old supposed to pay for pre-natal care? For the hospital bill? And contrary to popular belief, that adoption system sucks. Dumping a baby into it is atrocious.
open adopitons or private adoptions generally will pay for all the hospital bills as well as prenatal care. two of my sisters have given children up for adoption because they were too young (one was 12 when she got pregnant and another was 14) they both did open adoptions and it has been a wonderful experiance. granted just giving a child blindly to someone, bad idea, just like i don't think that everyone who has a kid is capable of raising it. but doing an open adoption is actually a great thing.
------- figure out what you really believe in and then find other people who feel the same way.

If you need help, you need help. You get it, and everything works out for everybody. Of course I wish young girls wouldn't have sex and get pregnant, but they do. They can't take care of the babies them self, so there's no problem with asking for help. Many many people are out there just waiting to help teens. Churches are one example.
No, my tax money should not be going to help children keep the babies they have no business raising.
That adoption thing you mentioned is about a 2.3 million dollar a year waste on children who may never be adopted. At least if she keeps the child she can give them love and support so that he/she will grow up decent instead of most of the kids in the foster/adoption systems who grow up angry, dropping out of school, and getting pregnant or hooked on drugs young. Haven't you ever needed help? I mean with anything. Maybe you could be a little more understanding. And BTW alot of help out there is funded by donations and people outside of the government. Churches, foodbanks, and the goodwill are run soley on donations. Just because the medical care is funded on your taxes doesn't mean you should be angry with the teenage girl who has one child. How about going after the immigrants who take more than half of the welfare system for everything from medical to food to housing to daycare for their 5-12 children. Just to come over steal our jobs and promote their views over Americans claiming their rights were violated.
Uh... why don't you read my posts a little better. I'm AGAINST putting children up for adoption. And churches *do* get government funding - from my taxes. And the last part of your post was so disgustingly ignorant I'm not even going to bother with an actual response.
Most churches do not recieve government funding thus seperation of church and state. I guess I didn't read the adoption post right my apologies. And for the record my son is half El Salvadorean and his grandparents just became citizens after 22 years of living here. I'm not against immigration. I'm just pointing out that there are worse things than a few teenage girls getting pregnant.
