Hey! Losing weight can be really hard for anyone. And I know you may be tempted to resort to unhealthy quick fixes. But those typically do more harm than good.

The key to losing weight is finding a good balance. Where you're eating healthier foods, but also making sure you're exercising as well.

As far as diets go, you're best trying to eat many small meals throughout the day. That will keep you more satisfied so you'll feel less of an urge to binge. Drastically reducing your diet will only make you want to binge, which isn't good. Try to eat smaller portions when you do eat. And make sure you're eating good filler foods, which are nutritious and fill you up, but they aren't full of bad calories. Carry healthy snacks with you to much on. Like carrot stick or a ziploc bag of cheerios. In addition, drink plenty of water. It helps you feel more satisfied without eating tons of food. And when you eat, eat a certain portion and feel like having seconds, go do something. Stay distracted for 15-20 minutes and see if you still want more after. The key isn't starving yourself, it's just not eating more than you need. And eating nutritious foods instead of candy, chips, etc.

As far as exercising goes, cardio will help you slim down a lot. Start walking and then jogging when walking is easy for you. That's great cardio which will help you feel good. Then sit ups will help you a lot with your abs area. This site(click) has great exercises to help improve your chest. :)

Try to stay motivated too. Don't get discouraged quickly. You'll see results as long as you're determined and stick with it. If you have any close friends, maybe ask them to be your exercise buddy and you can keep each other motivated.

Good luck! You can do this.

To be honest, there's no quick fix when it comes to dieting. You could try all sorts of diets that make you lose a lot of weight in a short period of time but these diets aren't effective because they can't become a way of life without becoming unhealthy. Losing weight in a short period of time generally only causes much more complications and you end up putting the weight back on which makes you feel even worse and puts you right back in the same position you started out in.

Your best bet is to change your diet and make it become a lifestyle and not an actual diet than you're on for 6 months and done with. Eat healthy, nutritious meals. Eat small meals regularly. Perhaps visit your doctor for advice on what to eat and what food you should stay away from. Your doctor can advise you on how much weight you need to lose (if any) and what would be the best way to go about doing it. Really give that idea some though, yeah?

You should also try thinking about working out regularly. Having a healthy diet is wonderful but if you add in some regular exercise then it'll keep you fit, healthy and looking good. Ever thought about joining a gym? Swimming, walking and running are all really good for your body so maybe give those things some thought. You can start of lightly if you want and begin to increase how often you exercise weekly. Again, this is something your doctor can advise you on.

To be honest, the above is what most people should be doing to maintain a healthy (or lose, if needed) weight. I'm not sure of what your build is, if you actually need to lose weight and how much weight is needed to be lost to make you healthy if, indeed, you need to lose any at all! That's why I reckon it'd be an idea to pop along to the doctor so you can be advised properly. =) Good luck!
