Ok so i was in rehab for 2 and a half months and i got discharged yesrterday for making a rasist comment to another resident. Its been like a day now and im already going back into old patterns.I have a chance to go back in to treatment but now im not sure if i want to cause i want to see if i can do it on my own but im extremely scared , but at the same time i need to push myself.I just dont know if going back to treatment would be a good idea cause i would have to start all over again...or i can not go back get a job and go to n/a meetings and see my psycologist and drug addiction councellor...what would you guys do?

If you don't feel ready then you should probably stay in rehab until you do.

go back

it'll be better in the end

doing it on your own would be super difficult.  especially since it's been a day and you already can tell you're falling into old habits.

Umm, I wouldn't quit drugs and alcohol!

But like, it's good that you want to, you can do it on your own, with the support of your family and friends.

I would stop using drugs if that's what YOU want to do. Those other things will be a complete waste of time if you do NOT want to quit, it's as simple as that.

Since your even questioning if you do or not, your going to go right back to whatever you were doing before. Someone who wants to quit already knows what they need to do, to do so. Good luck.

I agree with Xusk. Also, just generally speaking, I think it's better and you can get more out of rehab if you go by your own will rather than going because you got to the point of being made to go.

Like, it's better to seek medical treatment about something going wrong in your body right when you know something might be wrong, rather than waiting until you NEED to go.

So, if you honestly think rehab will help you again, and that's what you want to do, I think you'll get more out of it by going before it gets to the point of you maybe getting out of control enough to where you're being made to go back. Better to take care of stuff early. But, also better to not get into stuff that's hard to clean up in the first place. I'm sure you know what you need to be doing, so keep it as a goal and work towards it.
