I like this boy a lot. And frankly, I've heard conflicting things about him, I am just not sure what to think.
I know he amd his girlfriend recently broke up last month. I really WANT to know what her side of the story is. I am to the point that I don't realy care anymore becase it's not like we would be friends or anything.
Should I IM or or Facebook message her? Just say "hey you dont know me, but I have liked XXX and I wanna know what kind of guy he is. Should I quit while I'm ahead?"
ORR...I have a friend who is good friends with this girl...but she also gossips a lot and will prolly tell my Crush as well...
What should I do?

Don't do it. She's the ex so she's only going to have bad to say, especially that recently to the break up. And you'll be giving her an opening to either harass or gossip more about you.
If you aren't sure about this guy, find out for yourself, not through other people's biased opinions.
