I posted my "Ultimate Dream Girl" or whatever I called it topic as more or less a joke. The fact that everyone was like "No, just no" about it, kinda blows.

Why can't anyone just be fucking nice to someone else? Like, I posted that as a confidence boost to me and now I feel like shit.

People (a lot of them) feel like shit. A lot of the time. So, why can't the people on LW be nicer to others? Post something that may make them feel better?

Because livewire is a place where in general, people make short, snappy replies to get the points, then move on.

Its very easy to get detached when in an online situation, and therefore be less aware of other peoples feelings.
Some of the comments in the depression and imbalance forum make me sick.
