Probably because of the color/font tags... Do those add to the total characters?

On the test, I think the world "republican" should have a capital R. My government teacher always nags us about that... the political parties such as Democrats and Republicans must be capitalized to distinguish between the use as an improper noun, such as a republican form of government.

I just recently returned to the forums here and I was pleased to see this forum (and the test).  I'm certain that the implimentation isn't going to be perfect, but I think it's a good motion overall.  As mentioned, if you don't like it, don't post here.

I wonder what can be done to the forum to make it more pleasing overall.  Do we need a stricter test for getting in (it's hard to judge the level of the questions having passed and not really given them any thought other than, "Can I answer this correctly?" though I can at least say that it was an efficient mechanism), an altogether different criterion, stricter rules, or something else entirely?

What we really need is a harsh bastard mod who will ban people for the slightest infractions across the intelligence line.

Despite being a certified LiveWire Intellectual, I am not capable of composing a more verbose post.

That's why I mentioned previously that ABS would make an excellent mod for this forum.

A lot of people are complaining that the intellectual test is too easy.  This may be true, but personally, I don't think there's really anything to do about it, because, if you haven't noticed, hardly anyone posts here as it is.

Now, perhaps different levels of "intellectualness" would be good for egotistical purposes, but as a discriminant for this, or any, forum, I don't think they'd be usefull.

The test is too easy...anyone can just look up the answers. They should make it timed or something...

It is timed. But perhaps it wasn't before. Hmm.

I think this was a decent test, but not nearly hard enough. I have but one question: how many did I get right/wrong? I understand that I passed, but I would like to know my specific score.

I thought the test was okay. The test questions were pretty general, and I don't think that they were too hard. I do have to say that I had to think about some of them. I had to write out the number question, and I had to draw a clock. I also had to manually add those numbers.

In all honesty, I really did not find that test very difficult. Granted, I'm somewhat used to such tests.
Oh well, off to bed I go.
Goodnight!

Edit:
Rather amusing, I recieved an error after I attempted to post this, due to that my response was not verbose.
Here is a counterpoint to that idea: In formal essay writing, and this idea was made famous by "The Elements of Style" by Strunk & White, it is considered ideal to say what needs to be said in as few words as possible.
And on that note, I leave you all.
Farewell!

Just passed the test and I must say, I didn't think I would. I'm glad livewire set aside the forum! It's a wonderful idea and I'm glad that I wont have to stare at people substitute letters for words as frequently.

That test was fun and I actually didn't look up a single answer.

I passed it fairly easily.

Haha.

That's proof of how incredibly simple it is.

I imagine anyone who desired to lurk around this forum posting: "Dat don evan maik cense!11!!shift+1!!" wouldn't have taken the time out to take the test in the first place, so it's accurate on the personality level they're targeting even if it's not so much on an intellectual level.
