I used to be absolutely and irrevocably Pro-Life, because I would put myself in the situation of that baby. But now that I think about it, what about the perspective of the GIRL? I can't imagine any situation in which I, personally, would ever want to terminate any potential offspring..but if being pregnant is hurting her, or hard on her, or she is alone and afraid, or she doesn't have sufficent female support, well..why shuldn't she apply her own judgement?? I don't like it, I don't like abortion and I do think it is cruel, but you can't exactly, well..force a woman to do the 'right' thing about what is growing inside her..I mean so it's the right thing, but does that mean it's neccesarily best for the woman? She does need to put her own wellbeing first, or else that of the child can only suffer...

Anyway, I don't like abortion at all, and like I said, I USED to be absolutely pro-life, and I still kind of WANT to be pro-life, and I don't think I would personally have an abortion, but I can see it from the other perspective as well..and I don't think it's fair on the woman. :(

As a matter of interest, there are some really high statistics(now I read these, idk how true they are.)-In Russia the average woman has 4 abortions in her lifetime, and I read somewhere that more babies are aborted than born. In the US, 1 in 3 women will have an abortion. I do think it's a terrible waste of life, because that IS an absolutely unique set of dna, which is developing into a unique individual..really I don't like it at all. But I CAN understand why someone might choose to have an abortion. :(

Also, outlawing abortion will not stop it happening. It will just end up with women getting illegal abortions, which are unsafe and probably a lot more painful..they end up trying to do it with blunt instruments such as coat hangers. Can you imagine the pain of that?? And it is aim of abortion to make it safe, (legal), and rare. So idk. I don't like abortion at all, but I think we need to be absolutely fair to, and considerate of, the woman herself. In every specific instance. I don't think it's fair to the Child..but the child is growing inside her, and if she feels abortion is really the best option..well obviously I respect her. And I WANT to be supportive of people in this situation, but I know one teenage mother who, eh, 'stole my name', and I haven't been anyway mature about it at all. :(
